Part 1 – Overview

This Privacy Notice explains how Deara collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our app. Deara is designed to help you create share-ready photo cards, timelines, reminders, and related visual results from the content you choose to provide. We value privacy and aim to keep data collection limited to what is necessary to provide the app’s features and maintain service reliability.

By using Deara, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Notice. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the app.

Part 2 – Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect changes in our features, legal requirements, or operational practices. When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the app, by posting an updated version, or by other reasonable means.

The updated policy will become effective on the date stated at the top of the notice, unless a later effective date is specified. Your continued use of Deara after an update means you accept the revised Privacy Notice.

Part 3 – Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Photos you upload or add to the app, including 1 to 4 images per entry where supported.
• Text you enter, such as captions, notes, descriptions, tags, and optional location or record-time details.
• Content you create for timelines, result cards, photo walls, reminders, and history entries.
• Messages you send to us for support or feedback.

Information collected automatically:

• Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, and diagnostic details.
• Crash data, performance data, and error logs needed to keep the app stable and secure.
• Basic usage information, such as feature interactions and timestamps, to help us understand app performance.

Cookies and similar technologies:

Deara may use cookies or comparable local storage technologies where applicable to support basic app functions, preferences, and session management. These technologies are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Part 4 – Children's Privacy

Deara is intended for users who are 17 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If we learn that a user under 17 has provided personal information, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Part 5 – Data Retention

• Uploaded content: Photos and other uploaded input are deleted after processing is completed, unless needed for the specific history feature you have chosen to keep.
• Generated results: Result cards and related outputs may be stored in your history so you can view them later. You may delete them at any time.
• Crash logs: Diagnostic logs may be retained for up to 12 months for stability, security, and troubleshooting purposes.
• Support messages: Support requests and related communications may be retained for up to 6 months.
• Temporary processing data: Temporary files created during processing are deleted after completion of the task.

When data is no longer needed, we will delete it or de-identify it where appropriate, subject to legal or security obligations that may require limited retention.

Part 6 – Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your information. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and you may request help with account or data-related questions.

• Access: You can request information about the data we hold about you.
• Correction: You can ask us to update inaccurate information.
• Deletion: You can request deletion of eligible data, including history items you delete in the app.
• Export: You can request a copy of certain information where supported by law or product design.
• Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Part 7 – Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to help protect user information. These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit where available, secure server configuration, limited employee access, and monitoring for abnormal activity.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. However, we work to reduce risks and protect data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.

Part 8 – International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed or stored in different regions, including jurisdictions outside your own. This may occur because we use infrastructure providers or service operations that are distributed across multiple locations.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards intended to protect your information during cross-border processing and handling. By using Deara, you understand that your data may be transferred to and processed in regions that may have different data protection laws than your home country.

Part 9 – Face Data and Biometric Information

Deara does not perform facial recognition, biometric analysis, or identity verification based on face data. We do not create face templates, biometric profiles, or comparable biometric identifiers from user content.

If you upload photos that contain faces, those photos are used only to provide the app’s intended features and are deleted after processing, except where you choose to keep a generated history item or result card.

Part 10 – Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade user data.

We do NOT share any user-uploaded or user-generated content with any third party.

We do NOT use any third-party AI services to process user data. All AI processing is performed exclusively on our own internal servers.

We may use a limited number of third-party infrastructure providers for cloud storage, server hosting, or basic technical operations only. These providers act solely on our behalf and under our instructions, and they are bound by contractual obligations to protect data security and confidentiality.

• Third-party infrastructure providers are not permitted to use user data for advertising.
• Third-party infrastructure providers are not permitted to use user data for profiling.
• Third-party infrastructure providers are not permitted to use user data for AI training or model optimization.
• Third-party infrastructure providers are not permitted to use user data for their own purposes or redistribute it.
• Third-party infrastructure providers are not permitted to independently access or use user content except as necessary to provide services under our instructions.

We do not allow third parties to use your data for purposes beyond what we instruct and control.

Part 11 – How We Use Information

We use information only to operate, maintain, and improve Deara’s core functionality. This includes:

• Generating photo-based result cards, timelines, reminder cards, and related outputs.
• Storing and displaying your history items when you choose to keep them.
• Providing save, share, delete, and re-render features.
• Managing app stability, diagnostics, and customer support.
• Processing purchases and purchase-related status where applicable.

We do not use your information for AI training, advertising, profiling, or selling. We do not use your user-generated content to build advertising profiles or to promote third-party products.

Part 12 – AI Processing

All AI processing in Deara is performed on our own internal servers only. We do not send user data to third-party AI services. We do not use user content to train, fine-tune, or optimize external models.

Temporary input used for processing is deleted after the task is completed, except for any result you intentionally save in your history. We do not retain user-uploaded content for model training or future AI improvement.

Part 13 – User Consent and Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using Deara, you confirm that you have read this Privacy Notice and agree to the collection, use, and handling of information described here. If you do not agree, you should discontinue use of the app.
